Externus Obscorrum Codex
BOOK OF THE OUTER DARK
This grimoire traces the wanderings of Abdul Alhazred, a necromancer of Yemen, on his search for arcane wisdom and magic. Alhazred’s magical adventures lead him to the Arabian desert, the lost city of Irem, ruins of Babylon, lands of the Old Ones, and Damascus, where he encounters a variety of strange creatures and accrues necromantic secrets.
The book was captured by a White Council Wizard, Geoffry of Haddington, in 1099 during the First Crusade in Jerusalem. He returned to Scotland with the tome where he guarded it for the remainder of his life. He vanished in the 15th century while travelling in Galloway and the book wasn’t seen again until the late 18th Century when it was discovered by Artemis Miller in Scotland who has been its guardian ever since.
Somehow the Book of the Outer Dark got into the hands of young KAROLYNN KENNEDY. Sadly she was possessed by the dark spirit that inhabited the codex. The spirit of the insane BLACK AGNES DOUGLAS. Under her control Karolynn brought about the events that led to Black Monday. Agnes was defeated by the Warden, ZEBADIAH EINAR and his allies and Agnes was rebound into the pages of the book. Anyone reading the book risks being possessed unless they use the proper precautions. The book was sent to the White Council’s Headquarters in Edinburgh for safekeeping.
