Campaign of the Month: November 2012
THE EMERALD CITY
WEST SEATTLE
WEST SEATTLE
DESCRIPTION: Working class neighborhood with more than its fair share of crime.
IDEA: THE RED COURT IS MOVING IN ON PACK TERRITORY
THREAT:
A POWDER KEG
FACE:
DOZER
ASPECT: BLOOD IS ON THE STREETS
LOCATION: LYNN’S DEN
Lately Red Court Vampires have been rumored to be making a move into the area which has been run by the Werewolves of the Pack for years. Lord Montague has to be careful since he has no direct influence on the King County Sheriff Department and yet he doesn’t want to see a war touched off between the two factions. The Pack is run by Dozer, a werewolf who rules with ruthless efficiency and cunning. It is rumored that Dozer cannot be killed and indeed he has survived at least 4 assassination attempts. While he does not shy from violence he is mainly motivated by his hatred of all things Vampire and a desire to protect his territory and his pack.
UPDATE
During the final confrontation of the Cauldron of Murder case The Pack suffered many casualties when Trey Wellington and his Red Court Vampires left them open to attack by abandoning their flank. Because of this the tensions between the two groups has ramped up to even greater levels. In fact some speculate that the only reason that full scale war hasn’t erupted is The Pack might have been weakened more than was realized in the battle. This idea has been reinforced by The Pack’s inability to keep control in their own territory. (see below)
THREAT:
NO MAN’S LAND
ASPECT: NOT FIT FOR MAN OR BEAST
West Seattle was perhaps the hardest hit neighborhood on Black Monday. Most of the buildings in the district were older and were never built to withstand an earthquake of such great magnitude. The collapse of the West Seattle Bridge left the area almost completely isolated making it particularly difficult for rescue workers to assist those who desperately needed aid.
The 13th Precinct, one of the sturdiest buildings in the district, stands alone in a great wasteland of devastation. The police officers from the precinct worked tirelessly and saved lives but many in the neighborhood perished. Most of the survivors left the area as soon as they were able. Some of those who remained quickly devolved into looting and murder with roving bands warring over territory. Some have questioned whether such a sudden slide into savagery might have a supernatural cause. Even The Pack has had trouble as members have been attacked, and in on case, killed in barbaric assaults.
In reaction to this a large swath of White Center has been declared a No Man’s Land and fenced off. The National Guard patrols the fence to prevent anyone from entering the area. There are stories of monsters living in the area and anyone who crosses the fence at night will never be seen again.
UPDATE:
The Pack was nearly taken over by a disciple of Chernobog which ultimately led to over half of its members, including the mighty Dozer, losing their wolf. Dozer and several of the Pack have left the city to try and reconnect with their wolf while the rest have remained behind to try and maintain their power base. They are currently being lead by GYPSY although some of the older members have grumbled about a woman being in charge. The Pack has never been in a weaker position and they are preparing for any challenges to their supremacy planning to overcome their reduced numbers with ruthless action.
